Nanzikambe's artistic initiative includes adapting classics for the African setting and unearthing yet-untold stories and devising theatre that touches the heart of contemporary issues in society.

Nanzikambe is committed to training versatile performers and theatre-makers and raising industry standards. The organisation's development work is concerned with social change, firmly believing in the crucial role that culture can play in poverty reduction.

This work includes: training facilitators and educators in inter-active communication methods; providing forum theatre performances for potent message delivery, human rights advocacy and behaviour change; community mobilisation, producing written materials to enhance understanding of the use of theatre as an effective tool for education and development, developing interactive media for radio and television.
